VALUES

 

1. The Word of God – NCC is a place where people learn the Bible and apply it to everyday life.

 

2. Prayer – NCC is to be a praying church. Jesus said in Matthew 21:13 “My house will be called a house of prayer.”

 

3. The Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20)- Every Believer is to be a witness of the good news that Jesus saves, delivers and heals. The congregation is to be a lighthouse for the lost.

 

4. Family- We value the family as God’s basic building block for society; therefore, we commit ourselves to helping build strong families.

 

5. All Age Groups- People of all age groups are important to us; therefore we are an intergenerational church with ministries for children, teenagers, young adults, middle aged adults and senior adults.

 

6. Sunday School- We value Sunday School as the primary teaching and discipleship arm of the church. Sunday School classes are still the most effective method for becoming assimilated into the life of the church body.

 

7. Anchors of the Word- 5 Great Principles

· Every person must experience the New Birth through Jesus Christ to have peace with God and eternal life.

· We call our people to holy living, with the Bible itself as our standard for faith and practice. Our Covenant of Commitment summarizes this lifestyle.

· We rejoice in the continuation of the Pentecostal revival. Therefore, we value every believer as a temple of the Holy Spirit and encourage each follower of Jesus Christ to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

· We believe that to this day Jesus Christ heals people; so we expect the miraculous to happen in our congregation.  We look forward to the second coming of Jesus Christ to this earth.

 

8. Spiritual Gifts- We value each individual as having been given special spiritual gifts by God; therefore we want to help them discover and use their gift in service.

 

9. Stewardship- We believe and practice biblical prosperity and stewardship.  This means that one-tenth of all our income streams is to be returned to the Lord.

 

10. Missions- We believe in supporting missions ministry both at home and abroad.
We are called to minister to the needs of the poor, hurting and helpless.
